As part of our continuous initiative to promote safety, the BSM team participated in a comprehensive site assessment at Gadong Night Market on 17 January 2024 , a collaborative effort organised by the Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department (Jabatan Bandaran), Safety, Health, and Environment

National Authority (SHENA), and Brunei Fire and Rescue Department.

The primary aim of this initiative was to reinforce community awareness regarding essential safety measures when it comes to cooking meals. This is an important awareness especially as we are now close to the month of Ramadhan where cooking activities will be on all time high.

Our team made meaningful connections during the assessment, interacting with both food vendors and customers alike. We took pride in sharing our expertise on the secure use of LPG cylinders and accessories, emphasising the importance of safety in every kitchen.

It's noteworthy that LPG, being one of the cleanest burning fuels globally, aligns with our commitment to environmental responsibility. Pairing LPG with BSM's top-notch LPG regulator and hose ensures not only a clean burn but also enhances the overall experience of creating memorable moments with family and friends.

Fill Safe Feel Safe Joint Visit to Pengalayan and Kotiba Retail Station

BSM and SHENA joined forces for a collaborative visit to PENGALAYAN and KOTIBA Retail Stations on January 17, 2023. This initiative is part of the ongoing Fill Safe, Feel Safe 2023-2024 campaign, launched in October 2023 and set to continue throughout the year. The aim of the visit was to maintain engagement with Service Champions and interact with customers to ensure compliance with safety regulations for forecourt safety and refueling into containers and drum filling.

Aligned with the campaign's theme for January, the emphasis was placed on the importance of safe filling in containers and drums. This month, all visits will concentrate on secure refueling for containers and drum filling to broaden our reach. During the visit, BSM provided road tax stickers and offered guidance on retail safety to the public.

The collaboration between BSM and government agencies will extend to other retail stations in the coming months. Feedback and observations gathered from these visits will be meticulously documented as part of our learning process and for continuous improvement.
