Joined by the management, staff, and contractors, BSM hosted Shell Safety Day engagement across BSM HQ in PGGMB , BSM Muara Terminal, and BSM Warehouse office last Wednesday morning.
Under the theme of "How to Fail Safely?", the event commenced with a captivating main plenary session that set the stage for an enlightening day ahead. Engaging group conversations delved into various critical topics, such as the integration of Cyber Security into our daily work, safe driving practices within the business, ensuring the safe delivery of our products, managing LPG operations, and identifying hazards and risks to fail safely. One of the syndicate group conversations even focused on the crucial aspect of safeguarding our mental health while striving for safety.
Throughout these discussions, a vital lesson resonated with us all: failing safely involves acknowledging our human fallibility and establishing robust barriers to prevent harm. While we diligently perform tasks safely, unexpected circumstances can arise. That's why adopting a Learner Mindset, creating effective barriers, and proactively preparing for potential changes are paramount in minimizing harm. This is the very essence of "Failing Safely."
In a joyous conclusion to the event, we also took a moment to commemorate a significant milestone. BSM proudly celebrated achieving 8 million hours without any Lost Time Incidents (LTI) by 28th February 2023. The festivities included a delightful cake cutting ceremony held simultaneously at all three locations.
