Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sendirian Berhad (BSM) refers to a recent message circulating on social media concerning alleged fuel-related activities at one of its retail stations in Brunei Darussalam. The message raises concerns regarding a suspected case of cross-border smuggling involving subsidised fuel.
BSM takes this matter seriously and is working in close coordination with the relevant authorities. All BSM fuel stations in Brunei Darussalam are required to operate in accordance with established regulations and operating procedures to ensure compliance and responsible fuel distribution.
BSM wishes to remind members of the public that subsidised fuel is intended solely for domestic consumption and any activities involving a cross-border smuggling of Brunei’s fuel and unauthorised resale is a serious offence.
